What is tubal ligation reversal?
Tubal ligation closes or blocks the fallopian tubes. Reversal is surgery that may reconnect remaining healthy tube so egg and sperm can meet again. Whether that is possible depends on how the original surgery was done and how much tube remains.

“Robotic” here means the surgeon uses a console and instruments; the surgeon is in control. Magnification and smaller motions can help with fine work.
Who may be a candidate?
Candidacy is individual. Typical discussion points:
• How the ligation was done (clips/rings vs more destructive methods)
• How much healthy tube remains
• Age and overall fertility
• Partner fertility when relevant

Both can be paths after ligation. Reversal aims to restore a natural pathway. IVF bypasses the tubes. Age, tubes, partner factors, goals, and cost all matter. A good consult includes saying when reversal is not the better option.
